How do I get to the Cave?

On the A-8 Santander-Oviedo motorway, take exit 269 (Los Tánagos/Pesués/Puente Nansa). Before reaching Pesués city centre, take the turnoff to Puente Nansa and continue until you arrive at the town of Rábago. From there, follow the road to El Soplao.

You can also exit the A-8 motorway taking the exit 258 (Lamadrid, Roiz, Caviedes). You will go through Las Cuevas and La Florida. this route cannot be done by bus.

To access Plaza del Monte (mine visit), you need to take the route that goes from La Florida to Plaza del Monte.

To access Plaza del Monte (mine visit), you need to take the route that goes from La Florida to Plaza del Monte.

It is marked at crossroads.

It is not necessary to go to the complex of El Soplao.

Is there somewhere to park my car? How much does it cost?

We have a large FREE car park with different zones for cars and buses.

Can I eat there? How much does it cost?

The tourist complex includes a self-service restaurant, a cafeteria and a terrace with spectacular views of the Cave’s surroundings.

The food is home-made, cooked in the traditional way and with the best products of the market. We have a large dining area and we offer special menus on request.

What is the temperature inside the Cave?

The temperature inside the Cave is at about 12ºC to 13ºC approx. We recommend comfortable footwear and warm clothing. Particular attention needs to be paid to hot periods when the temperature difference is higher.

Check the temperature in the enclosure of the Cave in the following link. However, the temperature in the Cave is always maintained at 12ºC - 14ºC.

What type of footwear is the most suitable for the visit?

The pavement of most of the route is made of non-slippery cement, although there are areas in wet conditions (dripping water).

Inside the Cave there are 3cm square tramex surface areas (comfortable shoe recommended, NO HIGH HEELS). These routes are equipped with handrails or handrails.

What are the opening hours? Do they change throughout the year?

I have a small child, under 4 years old. Do I need a ticket?

Children aged 0-3 have free access. Therefore, they must be seated on an adult, they will not occupy a place on the train.

How can I print the tickets?

To withdraw the tickets and access the train you need to arrive, at leat, 30 min before the visit.

You can print your tickets at the ticket office or at the vending machines located at the entrance of the complex. You will need the notification of the purchase or the bank card with which you made the booking.

Printing at Liberbank ATMs is not possible.

Is it suitable for children?

The tourist visit is suitable for children. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 12 cannot take the adventure tourism visit, even when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Push chairs, prams and buggies are prohibited. The company provides baby slings (depending on availability).

Are pets allowed?

Pets are not allowed to enter the Cave or facilities.

Is the route suitable for people in wheelchairs?

The tourist visit is suitable for people with restricted mobility (100% of the route can be completed in a wheelchair). This only applies to the tourist visit.

Accessible tour to the entrance of the Cave: 300 m approx., with a <20 slope of a 10% incline (always with a guide).

Can the visit be in another language?

The visit is in Spanish but we have audio guides in different languages so you can follow the visit. You can download the app at PLAY STORE, and purchase the barcode and headphones at the facility store on the day of your visit.
